Saturday morning I woke up bright and early at 4:30 am, grabbed my crap and hit the road with Mark. It was a nice little ride down to platteville! We show up for the Time trial race ready to hit some trail... scratch that.. i mean, ready to hit the hills. It seemed like the race was always climbing. I dont know how its possibe to start at the top of a hill and keep climbing the entire race! It was still fun and I beat Mark by about 2.5 minutes. And yup, Thats a brag..
After watching some of the 2 lap race and watching "The Trek Dude" hill climb in the big chainring with un-human like abilities we headed over to Blue Mounds State park for some casual riding. Our casual ride turned out to be more of a skill tester with its rock pile creek crossings, and log and other rocks jetting out of the ground everywhere! Is sounded like this with me call out obstacles, "Rock! Log! Rock Bridge! Log Obstacle! Rock! Rockstacle!" it was greuling. I need to get down there this year once the trial have been tamed and dried a bit!
Rainy start to this week. Definitly needed! Baird Creek was looking like it usually does in June! Its good to see some green Grass too! Hopefully this week I will be making it down to our team ride On Wed. and the Bike hub Ride on thursday. Maybe a Tour de Lakes ride this weekend.
